200 and still Super

I am dedicating my first entry to one of my favorite shows, Smallville, which happens to be celebrating it’s 200th episode tonight. I have been a huge (and I mean HUGE) Superman fan since the days when Dean Cain wore the Superman suit. So naturally anything that had to do with Clark Kent/Superman I was going to watch. When I first heard about Smallville, I was eager to watch but I couldn’t wrap my head around the idea that Clark Kent knew Lex Luther before he had donned the red and blue suit. But I still wanted to give the show a chance, and I am happy I did. I remember watching the pilot that Tuesday night and I was blown away. I fell so in love with Smallville I even convinced my father to start watching it. It came to the point where I couldn’t tell who was the bigger fan, him or me. I’m not going to lie, as far as quality Smallville might not be the best show ever but there is something it that once you’re hooked you’re hooked. In the last ten years, have been a wonderful journey. I followed Smallville where ever it went  Wednesdays, Thursdays, CW, and even Fridays. When I went to college I kept on watching and even made my roommates watch. But of course after an episode finished I had to call my dad and we would discuss are take on the show. Sadly a few days after Wither (S6 E3) aired my father passed away. However, when I watch Smallville it helps feel a little closer to him. As Smallville comes to an end this year it’s  bitter sweet. I have been watching Smallville for almost half my life and now I have to get ready to say good-bye. Even though it’s sad to leave Smallville, I still have a smile on my face because at the end of this journey I can meet Superman.
